💻 Ordering Online

What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay by Visa, Mastercard, and Shop Pay.

Which currency will I be charged in?
When shopping on our New Zealand site, all prices are shown in NZD and you’ll be charged in NZD at checkout. On our Australian site, fabricbox.com.au, all prices are displayed in AUD and you’ll be charged in AUD at checkout.

What is the minimum order quantity?
You can order in ¼ metre increments, with a minimum cut of 50cm.
Prices are listed per metre, with the ¼ metre price shown in brackets.

When will my order be processed?
Orders are dispatched from our Auckland store Monday–Friday.
We aim to process orders same-day or the next day. Orders placed after the last Friday courier pickup, over the weekend, or on public holidays will be sent the next business day.

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is charged at a flat rate, based on sending a courier satchel of fabric delivered right to your door - whether you’re in the Far North or Deep South of New Zealand.

Shipping is automatically calculated at checkout and is based on the distance from us to you - not on the size or contents of your parcel.

Courier companies charge the same rate across satchel sizes (from A5 up to A2), and we simply pass that cost on to you. Shipping is not a revenue stream for us.

NZ Customers: Spend $200 or more and you’ll receive Free Shipping on your order!

The same approach applies to orders shipped to Australia. We’ve based our flat rates for each state on sending a tracked parcel of fabric with delivery to your door.

Can I return fabric if it’s not right for my project?
All sales are final. If you believe your fabric is faulty or there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 30 days of delivery at shop@fabricbox.co.nz with your order number and proof of purchase.

If your return claim is approved:

  • We will replace the faulty fabric where possible.

  • If the fabric is no longer available, we’ll offer an alternative or refund the purchase price.

Please note, we cannot accept returns or claims on fabrics that have been laundered or treated incorrectly.

Colour Accuracy & Availability Disclaimer
Colours may vary across screens and devices.
We do our best to ensure stock availability, but occasional errors can occur — thanks for your understanding.

Sample Swatches

Can I order sample swatches?
Yes! Just click the “ORDER FABRIC SAMPLE” button on the product page.

Swatch Limit
Each swatch is cut to order, just for you. Due to high demand, we kindly ask that you choose up to 6 swatches per order - this helps us keep things fair and moving smoothly for everyone.

(Please note: Swatch Orders (without fabric) are sent in an untracked, complimentary post-paid envelope, via NZ Post. If your samples are time sensitive, we recommend choosing courier delivery.)

Discounts & Trade

Do you offer wholesale or trade discounts?
Yes. Please see our Trade Discount & Wholesale Rates page for details.

Do you offer a student discount?
Yes, for students with a valid student ID. The discount applies to full-priced fabric only and excludes sale items, remnants, threads, and sewing supplies.
Show your student ID in-store or email us a photo to access the discount.

About Our Fabrics

What is Deadstock?
Deadstock fabric is leftover textile from fashion houses, mills or designers, often high-quality and unique. We rescue and repurpose these fabrics, giving you access to limited-edition materials while reducing textile waste.
We do our best to provide accurate details, though full fibre content or origin info may not always be available.
